Submit a paper

The regular submission deadline for Electronic Imaging 2019 ends on September 8th 2018.

The early submission deadline is June 30th 2018. It is to be used by anyone who requires early approval or a travel VISA to the United States.

Authors must subscribe to the "AbstractCentral" website and follow the submission steps. Your abstract, authors name, affiliation and biography as well as either the structure abstract form or your draft paper must be ready before you start this process.

Authors can submit a draft of their paper if they intend to publish, otherwise only a short abstract is required.

Evaluation process

The papers are evaluated by the three conference chairs and a selection of at least two other committee members.

After this first evaluation, the papers are grouped by theme and ranked. The best papers are selected for oral or poster presentation, some papers are promoted to keynote.

The authors are then notified and they can submit their final paper if they wish to be published.

Papers submitted after the regular deadline have a penalty on their possible selection.

Due to the large joint session with the Photography and Mobile conference, all papers for 2019 are jointly reviewed and all approved papers will be presented in front of a joint audience.

Best paper jury

Shortly before the conference, a separate jury will evaluate the papers that are part of the program and select a short list of the best papers.

Within this short list, a second jury will select the best paper and the best student paper.

Papers submitted after the regular deadline have a penalty on their possible selection.

The jury does not guarantee that a best paper award will be given. Only papers making a significant breakthrough are considered.
